Pregnant Fitness Model Chontel Duncan: Im Not Harming My Baby
Australian fitness model Chontel Duncan has rock-hard abs — despite being 36 weeks pregnant. And she’s making no apologies.
“People think I’m harming my baby … and that I’m all about staying skinny and not nourishing my little D,” Duncan, tells Us Weekly. “I know it’s hard to believe that someone can carry a child the way I am, but in reality, a lot of women carry like me.”
Duncan and her husband, Sam, plan to welcome a baby boy, their first child, on March 30.
“No comment can dull my shine,” says Duncan. “I’m literally smiling every day, and so excited.”
To prove a point about how women carry babies differently, the former Miss Universe contestant Instagrammed a November 13 belly comparison photo of herself and her friend Nat, who is just four weeks farther along in her pregnancy. The snapshot went viral earlier this week.
“I’m extremely tall, I’m 6-foot-1,” says Duncan, who works as a high-intensity interval trainer. “My torso especially is very long and my core strength is very strong.”
Just 26 days away from her due date, Duncan continues to train every day at HIIT Australia gym in Brisbane.
